Byron Hurt’s documentary Hip-Hop Beyond Beats and Rhymes.

So glad I had the opportunity to view this on my university’s campus and have Byron present during the screening. This documentary sparked something in me, moved me. An uncovering of black masculinity and misogyny within something we  covet as african americans - hip hop. such a bold topic that could only be covered by an even bolder man. bravo to you Mr. Hurt. 56 minutes of your day, but will change your outlook for life.
