Men, love women. It’s no secret. It’s in their music, poetry, novels, twitter updates, etc. “I’d work with my hands, and I’d sweat from my brow… just to keep you satisfied..” crooned Mr. Gaye. “You stop my tongue and teach my heart to speak..” said Sir Edmund Spenser. And many other famous men have dedicated their work to an unnamed woman. A shadow of a being that exists solely in their hearts and comes alive only in their work. We don’t know who Marvin sang about, though we can guess. Edmund Spenser, my favorite poet, wrote profusely and unapologetically about his beloved and after all of the research I have put in, I still have no idea who she was except that she was his muse.

Men LOVE women. They love our scent. Our facial expressions. The way our bodies move with or without music playing - melodic. They love our hair, our skin, our kisses and our touch. They love our recognition and our support, they love our hearts - so much so that they steal them and forget to return them, but that’s an entirely different box. They like our passion, our ability to turn something simple and miniscule into the most important ordeal ever. I don’t care how much women trouble men, they cannot have enough of us. I don’t want to hear it. Because with the same passion and diligence we carry on a grudge or an argument is the the same exact passion that fuels our tendency to love you like we do. Women love men, ain’t no doubt about it. We, like you, love your smell, facial expressions, your movements, hair, skin, kisses and touches. we love your support and your hearts alike, but do not deny us. because the same way you love us, we love 100 times harder, stronger. we are more aware of our love, that’s why we are jealous and possessive on occasions. we watch how you handle our hearts, hoping that you handle them with care because if you allow us you hold yours, then it’s tucked away, somewhere, far away from the every day wear and tear of the world.

what i’m trying to say is that, if you have a woman who loves you totally and completely… adorn her. appreciate her, recognize her and love her too because the total and complete love a woman has for you, i know there is no other feeling as such. but, my only proof is the music, poetry, novels, twitter updates, etc. you men produce as a result of. so tell me, am I lying?
